Mark & Vanessa Kowarsch (Speed Niggs, Sharon Stoned, Shell) founded the band Elektrosushi 1994 on their farm in Ostwestfalen while raising their first daughter Page Morgaine.
A small studio with a practice room was built there and together with their best friends Christian Hagedorn and William Honda the band came slowly into being Elektrosushi.
In the beginning the band wanted to release every EP on different record-labels until they became part of the Noisolution family in 1995.

The self-titled debut album with special guests Mike Watt (Minutemen, fIREHOSE, The Stooges) and Françoise Cactus of Stereo Total (who sadly passed away in 2021) was recorded in the famous Vielklang Studios in Berlin and released 1995 on Noisolution.

The band are chiefly remembered for 1996's brilliant, surreal, indie-dance cover of Barry White's classic "Can't Get Enough Of Your Love" with Dirk von Lowtzow (Tocotronic) and the internationally renowned performer and composer Charles Curtis on cello.
This track stormed college radio, particularly across the US, Japan and Australia and - believe it or not - without using an acoustic or electric guitar, not even a bass guitar in this song!
